Key Responsibilities
As a key member of the maintenance crew, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and uptime of critical mine equipment. Your primary duties will include:
- Upholding an unwavering commitment to safety, environmental standards, and contributing to our zero-incident workplace culture.
- Performing preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance welding on large-scale mobile and stationary equipment, including Komatsu haul trucks, P&H shovels, drills, and dozers.
- Fabricating, repairing, and hard-facing components to exact specifications under demanding conditions.
- Contributing to team goals by collaborating effectively with other trades and providing guidance to support the development of apprentices.
- Supporting the broader maintenance team in achieving operational targets and ensuring equipment is available and reliable.
Qualifications
This role requires a certified professional with a strong foundational background. The non-negotiable requirements are:
- A valid Interprovincial Red Seal Certification for Welding.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Canadian driver’s licence.
- A proven, deep-rooted commitment to workplace safety and procedural compliance.
- The ability to work effectively within a team in a heavy industrial setting.
Previous mining or heavy equipment maintenance experience is a valuable asset.
