Key Responsibilities
In this key role, you will be the face of Aalto for our trade and commercial clients across Auckland. Your responsibilities will be diverse and impactful:
- Proactively drive sales growth and market share within the trade and commercial sectors.
- Execute targeted sales strategies in collaboration with the Sales Manager to achieve business objectives.
- Provide expert, technical paint advice and support to both new and existing customers, solving complex project queries.
- Assist architects and designers with specification enquiries, promoting Aalto for high-end projects.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key trade accounts through regular visits and superior service.
- Oversee and provide dedicated support for large-scale projects specifying Aalto products.
- Travel extensively throughout the greater Auckland region to meet customers face-to-face and identify new opportunities.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who brings a unique blend of sales acumen and industry-specific knowledge. The ideal person will have:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the trade paint, building supplies, or related construction industry in the Auckland market.
- An established network and understanding of key trade painters, decorators, and commercial clients in the region.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and communicate detailed product knowledge confidently.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- A self-motivated, results-driven attitude with a professional and proactive approach.
- A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
