Key Responsibilities
Your role is vital to our daily operations, ensuring our hotel remains a safe and welcoming environment. Your core duties will include:
- Performing general repairs, maintenance tasks, and replacements for items throughout the hotel, from guest rooms to public areas.
- Managing supplies and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use.
- Upholding the highest safety standards by following all procedures and promptly reporting any incidents, hazards, or faulty equipment to your supervisor.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of internal and external areas, including the car park, pool area, and grounds.
- Proactively following the preventative maintenance schedule to keep all systems and equipment running efficiently and to prevent issues before they arise.
- Keeping clear, open communication with your supervisor and the duty manager, particularly regarding inventory levels for critical supplies.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable and practical individual with the following skills and attributes:
- At least one year of hands-on experience in maintenance, repair work, or a similar hands-on role.
- A good working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, and general building equipment, along with proficiency using common hand and power tools.
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves being on your feet for extended periods, with frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner, as you will interact with team members and occasionally assist guests.
