Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of the painting process, contributing to the successful completion of each project. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Preparing surfaces and performing interior and exterior painting to a high standard using brush, roller, and spray techniques.
- Carrying out plaster repairs and minor prep work to ensure a flawless final finish.
- Hanging wallpaper neatly and accurately for clients who choose this option.
- Operating and maintaining airless spray equipment efficiently and safely.
- Contributing to a tidy, safe, and organised worksite, and ensuring all tools and materials are cared for.
- Working collaboratively with the team to complete projects on schedule and to our quality standards.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the right attitude and ability to grow with our business. The essentials are:
- Previous painting experience is highly valued. We are open to applications from 2nd or 3rd-year apprentices, though qualified painters are preferred.
- A positive, can-do attitude, strong reliability, and excellent punctuality.
- Good physical fitness, comfort working at heights, and the ability to handle the physical demands of the trade.
- A minimum of a restricted driver’s licence and your own reliable transport.
- Must be drug-free, presentable, and committed to representing our company professionally.
Experience with wallpapering is a helpful bonus but not mandatory, as training can be provided.
