Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Painter to join our client’s team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves finishing wood products, inspecting for quality, and maintaining equipment and workspaces. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, experience in cabinet painting, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select and mix paints according to pre-determined formulas using paint mixing equipment.
  • Operate hand-held spray guns to apply protective or decorative coatings on wood parts and cabinetry.
  • Identify and report defects in products, ensuring high-quality finishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of painting and coating equipment, ventilation systems, compressed air lines, and PPE.
  • Prepare workspaces, load and unload materials, and assist line operators with equipment alignment and workflow.
  • Operate and monitor air sampling devices when working in confined or hazardous spaces.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures, including safe lifting and handling.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Painter, preferably in cabinetry or wood finishing.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and proper use of PPE.
  • Strong visual attention to detail with the ability to identify defects.
  • Effective verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Strong time management and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
