Northland Properties, a 100% Canadian-owned hospitality group, is seeking experienced Painters to join its dynamic construction and maintenance teams. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from CA$25 to CA$35 an hour. Reporting to the foreman, Painters are responsible for preparing, repairing, and finishing surfaces to meet project specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and takes pride in delivering professional results across hotels, resorts, and commercial properties throughout Canada.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, sandblasting, hydro-blasting, or steam-cleaning as needed.
- Remove old wallpaper and loose paint, and repair cracks, holes, and other imperfections in walls and ceilings.
- Apply sealer, paint, stains, lacquer, enamel, oil, varnish, or fire-retardant coatings using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
- Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls with precision.
- Assemble and erect scaffolding and swing gates safely.
- Maintain painting equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
- Follow project specifications, timelines, and safety protocols while collaborating with crew members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional painting experience.
- Valid Respirator Fit Test certification.
- Ability to work on scaffoldings, stand for up to 8 hours, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance with company procedures.
- Possess and maintain necessary tools, protective gear, and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions carefully.
