Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored rehabilitation plans for children and adults in community settings
  • Deliver therapy programs in clients’ homes, workplaces, or community venues, adapting approaches to individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and whanau to support holistic care
  • Manage ACC contracts and maintain accurate, timely documentation of therapy sessions and outcomes
  • Provide paediatric services where required and demonstrate competency across diverse client groups
  • Travel independently within the Palmerston North region to visit clients
  • Uphold professional standards and contribute to a best-practice, person-centered approach to rehabilitation

Qualifications

  • Current NZ Registration as a Speech Language Therapist with a valid APC
  • Minimum of two years post-graduate NZ experience, including community-based rehabilitation
  • Proven contracting experience delivering services under ACC contracts
  • Paediatric experience is highly advantageous
  • Strong communication, documentation, and IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Full clean NZ driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
