Key Responsibilities

In this hands-on role, you will be essential to delivering the quality finish our clients expect. Your responsibilities will cover the full scope of a project, including:

  • Meticulously preparing surfaces through sanding, stripping, filling, plaster repairs, sealing, and taping.
  • Applying primers, undercoats, and topcoats to both interior and exterior surfaces using brush, roller, and spray techniques as required.
  • Ensuring every finish meets our high standard of quality, with a keen eye for detail and clean lines.
  • Working safely and efficiently at heights and in various site conditions, maintaining a tidy work area.
  • Communicating clearly and respectfully with clients, team members, and other trades on site.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in professional painting and decorating.
  • A strong, inherent attention to detail and a clear commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently on a task and collaboratively as part of our close-knit team.
  • Good communication skills and a professional, respectful manner with clients and colleagues.
  • Physical fitness for the demands of the role and comfort working at heights.
  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence and your own reliable transport.
  • Applicants must be NZ citizens, residents, or hold a valid NZ open work visa.
