Key Responsibilities
- Clean communal spaces and resident rooms to high standards, ensuring a welcoming, hygienic environment for all.
- Collect, launder, and distribute linen and clothing accurately and efficiently, returning items to the right residents.
- Follow hygiene, safety, and infection control procedures diligently to protect residents, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, following all guidelines and safety data sheets.
- Work closely with team members, residents, and families, building positive relationships and communicating kindly.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry, maintaining organization and efficiency throughout the process.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in laundry areas, ensuring equipment is properly used and cared for.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
- Contribute to a positive team culture where everyone supports each other.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the facility.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will have strong attention to detail and a positive attitude these are essential qualities for success. You should be comfortable using cleaning equipment and following safety procedures. An NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check are required, along with a valid QLD Driver’s Licence. Experience in cleaning or laundry services is highly regarded but not required; the right attitude and willingness to learn matter most.
