Key Responsibilities
As a Cleaner, you will perform a comprehensive range of tasks to maintain exceptional standards across client facilities.
- Perform a wide variety of cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance activities with a strong focus on quality, health, and safety.
- Operate floor maintenance machinery such as auto-scrubbers, buffers, and carpet shampooers to strip, seal, finish, and polish hard floors and clean carpets.
- Clean all areas including floors, glass, washrooms, stairwells, and elevator cabs, which may require the use of ladders or scaffolding.
- Transport garbage, supplies, and equipment between floors and job sites as required.
- Follow precise procedures for using sustainable chemical cleaners and power equipment to ensure safety and prevent damage.
- Assist with snow and debris removal from sidewalks and parking areas during winter months.

- Experience performing various cleaning and maintenance activities in an institutional or commercial environment is required.

- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including WHMIS regulations, is necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative relationships with staff, clients, and the public.
- Ability to lift, push, pull heavy items, climb ladders, and work weekends, holidays, and various shifts at multiple locations as assigned.
- A valid Class G driver’s license may be required for certain assignments. Must be able to meet security clearance requirements where applicable.
