Houseperson Wanted In Canada

In this role, you will ensure that every guest enjoys clean, fresh linens during their stay. You will collect, sort, wash, fold, and stock linens while maintaining a positive and friendly presence. What You Will Be Doing

  • You will collect, sort, and transport laundry at the beginning of each shift, ensuring an organized workflow.
  • You will remove laundry from dryers promptly and fold items immediately to prevent wrinkling.
  • You will stock the linen supply room with clean linens so housekeeping has everything they need for the next day.
  • You will handle a variety of items including bed linens, blankets, duvets, comforters, towels, face cloths, and restaurant table linens.
  • At the end of each day, you will wash, dry, and fold all cleaning cloths for housekeeping use.
  • You will perform small mending repairs on linens as needed.
  • You will work independently, managing your time efficiently to complete all tasks.
  • You will maintain a positive attitude and represent the Sandman brand with professionalism and friendliness.
  • You will be available for day and/or evening shifts, including weekends.

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • No formal education is required we value attitude and reliability.
  • You have the physical mobility and stamina to handle the demands of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting.
  • You can follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • You have excellent time management skills and can work well under pressure.
  • Good communication and organizational skills are definite assets.
  • You have a strong work ethic and a positive team attitude.
  • You are available for evening and weekend shifts as required.
  • You have the manual dexterity to handle wet laundry loads and can lift up to 50 pounds.
  • You must be legally entitled to work in Canada, as the employer does not have an LMIA to support foreign workers.
