We are looking for a Laundry Attendant to join our Uniform, Linen, and Laundry operations. You will be responsible for processing, finishing, and distributing textiles across our property, ensuring every item meets the standard of quality our guests expect. Key Responsibilities

  • Sort, wash, dry, and finish all linens, uniforms, and guest laundry items according to established procedures and fabric care requirements.
  • Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, steam presses, and hand irons safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect all finished articles for stains, damage, or residual moisture, ensuring only items meeting quality standards proceed to distribution.
  • Fold, hang, bag, and organize clean textiles for delivery to guest rooms, food and beverage outlets, and staff changing areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of clean and soiled linens, communicating replenishment needs to supervisors.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to special requests from guests, housekeeping, or restaurant teams.
  • Keep laundry work areas, equipment, and storage spaces clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Follow all chemical handling and infection control protocols, including proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts and linen par level management.
  • Support the Uniform section with minor repairs, labelling, and issuance of staff uniforms as needed.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Previous experience in commercial laundry, hotel laundry, or institutional linen services is preferred but not mandatory—we provide training for candidates with strong service aptitude.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks involving bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Capacity to lift and manoeuvre loaded laundry carts and bundles weighing up to 25 kilograms.
  • Strong attention to detail able to identify stains, damage, or quality defects consistently.
  • Courteous, professional demeanour with the ability to interact respectfully with colleagues and internal customers.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a service-oriented team.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English to follow instructions and complete basic documentation.

Preferred:

  • Experience operating industrial washing tunnels, dryers, sheet folders, or steam pressing equipment.
  • Familiarity with hospitality linen standards and guest laundry services.
  • WHMIS certification or knowledge of safe chemical handling practices.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required in hospitality operations.
