Key Responsibilities
You will be essential in maintaining the reliability and safety of our critical haulage fleet. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Performing high-quality maintenance, repairs, and major component overhauls on our fleet of Volvo and Mack Titan prime movers and multi-combination trailers.
- Conducting thorough fault diagnosis, both proactive and reactive, to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Executing scheduled preventative maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Completing accurate documentation for all work performed, including service reports and parts usage.
- Working collaboratively within the workshop team to maintain a safe, clean, and productive environment.
- Utilizing the latest diagnostic tools and technology in our purpose-built facility to deliver precise and efficient workmanship.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A recognised Trade Certificate as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic (Automotive Heavy Vehicle).
- Proven, hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy multi-combination road transport equipment, with specific expertise in Volvo and/or Mack vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to both preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- A current ‘C’ Class manual driver’s licence (an HR licence is a significant advantage).
- The ability to pass a pre-employment National Police Clearance.
- A strong safety focus and the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.
