Role Overview

The Regional Field Manager (RFM) is responsible for overseeing field operations, technician training, and quality assurance across multiple project sites. Acting as the primary on-site leader, the RFM ensures smooth project startups, enforces process and safety standards, mentors technicians, and resolves operational challenges. This role is ideal for experienced field technicians or technical leads ready to take the next step into leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technician development through training, mentoring, and enforcement of installation and safety standards.
  • Plan and execute project kickoffs, coordinating with clients and internal teams to ensure readiness and alignment.
  • Oversee field operations, verify documentation, and maintain compliance with installation and quality standards.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to maintain consistent high-quality deliverables.
  • Perform safety oversight, including vehicle and tool inspections, and lead toolbox talks.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Act as the first point of escalation on-site, resolving issues and maintaining client relationships.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to communicate updates, align priorities, and ensure accountability.

Qualifications

  • 2–7 years of experience in field operations, project management, or technical leadership; technology deployment or service industry experience preferred.
  • 2–5 years hands-on technician experience, ideally in telematics, wiring, or low-voltage systems.
  • Strong understanding of installation standards, field documentation, and quality assurance practices.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with technicians and clients.
  • Willingness to travel regionally for site visits, training, and project oversight.
  • Proficiency with project management tools, documentation platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • PMP, OSHA 30, or other technical certifications are a plus; willingness to pursue additional certifications with company support is expected.
