MPH is seeking experienced Plant Maintenance Electricians for immediate opportunities across Iron Ore and Goldfields mine sites. We have roles available for a solid 6 to 12-month duration, with a strong possibility of extension for the right professionals. Key Responsibilities

In this site-based role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of critical plant equipment. Your core duties will include:

  • Performing proactive and reactive maintenance on a wide range of fixed plant electrical equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Conducting fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on motors, switchgear, control systems, and processing plant instrumentation.
  • Supporting planned shutdowns and outage works, including installations, upgrades, and major component replacements.
  • Completing work orders and job cards accurately, documenting work performed and parts used.
  • Adhering strictly to all site safety protocols, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, and quality standards.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a close-knit maintenance team to achieve daily and weekly planning targets.

Qualifications

To be successful in securing this position, you must meet the following essential criteria:

  • A current, unrestricted WA Electrical Licence (or equivalent Australian licence).
  • Demonstrable, hands-on experience in a plant maintenance role within a mining or heavy industrial environment (this is mandatory).
  • Valid HRWL, Working at Heights, Confined Space, and LVR/CPR certifications.
  • A Construction Induction White Card and a current manual driver’s licence.
  • The ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
  • Own reliable transport and a full set of basic hand tools.
