Key Responsibilities

  • Select and mix coating paints to the required color and texture while preparing spray equipment, including cleaning and adjustments.
  • Operate spraying equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper thickness and consistency in all applications.
  • Follow technical procedures, area lead instructions, and job specifications to meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Maintain spray equipment, clean guns daily with solvents or approved cleaning solutions, and ensure proper care of respirators.
  • Operate the blaster to clean steel surfaces following safety guidelines and maintain the paint mix room in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist in training and supporting team members as needed, and take initiative when working independently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned while following all safety and operational protocols.

Qualifications

  • No formal education required; practical experience in industrial painting or spraying preferred.
  • Able to stand, walk, climb, balance, crouch, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily work activities.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to operate spray equipment accurately.
  • Good vision, communication skills, and awareness of safety practices on the production floor.
  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
