Key Responsibilities

As a Field Service Technician, you will be a trusted mobile expert for our clients in Mackay and surrounding areas. Your primary focus will be:

  • Conducting mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and timely breakdown servicing on customer forklifts, reach trucks, and automated material handling systems.
  • Efficiently diagnosing faults and providing effective on-site technical support and troubleshooting to minimise customer downtime.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed service records, job sheets, and all necessary administrative documentation.
  • Communicating professionally with customers to fully understand their needs and deliver solutions that ensure high satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with the wider service team and staying updated on the latest industry technology and service procedures.

Qualifications

To be successful in this key field role, you will need:

  • A relevant trade qualification as a Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician, or Light/Heavy Vehicle, Plant, or Diesel Mechanic.
  • A current White Card (General Construction Induction Card) and a full Australian driver’s licence.
  • Proven experience in mechanical diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, preferably within the material handling or a related industry.
  • The ability and willingness to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
  • Excellent customer service skills, a professional attitude, and strong organisational abilities for record-keeping.
