Key Responsibilities

  • Clean resident rooms, ensuites, and public areas to maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation.
  • Follow daily and ad-hoc cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are consistently maintained.
  • Clean a variety of surfaces including vinyl and carpet floors, walls, doors, windows, and sinks.
  • Complete laundry duties as required while respecting residents’ belongings.
  • Maintain strict privacy and dignity in all interactions with residents and staff.
  • Manage waste appropriately according to BDL policies and procedures.
  • Safely operate, care for, and store cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Ensure infection control practices are consistently applied throughout the facility.
  • Report and document incidents or complaints following the organisation’s feedback and incident management systems.
  • Promote a positive public image of BDL while adhering to all health, safety, and workplace policies.
  • Prioritise tasks efficiently and complete delegated duties on time while supporting team objectives.

Qualifications and Core Competencies

  • Proven experience in cleaning or facility maintenance roles is preferred.

  • Compliance with Annual Flu Vaccination (or approved exemption) and NDIS Worker Clearance.
