Key Responsibilities
In this varied workshop role, you will be central to the production and development of specialised equipment. Your key duties will include:
- Building, assembling, and meticulously testing electronic control equipment according to set plans and instructions.
- Maintaining an exceptionally organised, tidy, and efficient workshop environment.
- Assisting with logistics such as stock arrivals, dispatch, and supervising any contract outwork.
- Providing valuable support for new product research and development initiatives.
- Occasionally traveling to client sites around New Zealand to assist with installations or troubleshooting (a full driver’s licence is required).
- Helping with general factory plant repair and maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
We are seeking an individual with the right innate abilities and a keen, practical mind. The essentials for this role are:
- A natural, strong interest in electronics and a genuine empathy for how mechanical and electronic systems work. A formal qualification is not required.
- The ability to understand instrumentation, data logging systems, and possess good general computing skills.

- The comfort and discipline to work independently, managing variable workloads effectively.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and an unwavering commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
