Key Responsibilities

Your specific duties will vary based on your role, but will be centred on the successful delivery of electrical works for the Simberi Expansion Project.

For Electricians:

  • Execute electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in accordance with project plans and PNG standards.
  • Adhere strictly to all site safety protocols, including JHA and permit-to-work systems.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to complete tasks efficiently and to specification.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure all activities comply with quality assurance requirements.

For Project Supervisors:

  • Provide direct on-site supervision, coordination, and technical guidance to electrical crews.
  • Plan daily work schedules, allocate resources, and ensure tasks are completed safely and on time.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for client representatives and other contractors on-site.
  • Enforce and promote a zero-harm safety culture, conducting pre-starts and site inspections.

Qualifications

To be considered for these positions, all candidates must meet the following essential criteria:

  • A current, unrestricted Queensland Electrical License.
  • Valid LVR-CPR certification and a Working at Heights ticket.
  • A current driver’s licence.
  • A demonstrated history of working safely in industrial or mining environments.
  • The ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and fitness for work assessment.

For Supervisor roles, proven experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity on similar projects is essential.
