Key Responsibilities
Your specific duties will vary based on your role, but will be centred on the successful delivery of electrical works for the Simberi Expansion Project.
For Electricians:
- Execute electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in accordance with project plans and PNG standards.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety protocols, including JHA and permit-to-work systems.
- Work collaboratively within a team to complete tasks efficiently and to specification.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure all activities comply with quality assurance requirements.
For Project Supervisors:
- Provide direct on-site supervision, coordination, and technical guidance to electrical crews.
- Plan daily work schedules, allocate resources, and ensure tasks are completed safely and on time.
- Act as a primary point of contact for client representatives and other contractors on-site.
- Enforce and promote a zero-harm safety culture, conducting pre-starts and site inspections.
Qualifications
To be considered for these positions, all candidates must meet the following essential criteria:
- A current, unrestricted Queensland Electrical License.
- Valid LVR-CPR certification and a Working at Heights ticket.
- A current driver’s licence.
- A demonstrated history of working safely in industrial or mining environments.
- The ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and fitness for work assessment.
For Supervisor roles, proven experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity on similar projects is essential.
