Key Responsibilities
As a LinkSA Bus Driver, you are the heart of our service, ensuring every journey is safe and pleasant.
- Your primary responsibility is to operate your vehicle safely, following all road rules and company procedures to get passengers to their destination on time.
- You will provide excellent, friendly customer service to all passengers, including school children, tourists, and general commuters.
- A key part of the role is planning your runs, reading timetables and maps, and communicating clearly with our control centre via radio.
- Performing pre-start vehicle checks and basic reporting on the bus’s condition is a daily duty.
- You will represent LinkSA professionally at all times, helping passengers, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience for everyone on board.
Qualifications
We are looking for people with the right attitude and eligibility to train for this important role.
- You must have a current, valid Australian driver’s licence. An MR licence is desirable but not essential to apply.
- You need a genuine passion for customer service, excellent communication skills, and a positive, flexible outlook.
- An unwavering focus on safety for yourself, your passengers, and other road users is paramount.
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia, currently reside in South Australia, and be able to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening).
- A Large Passenger (LP) authority is desirable, or you must be willing to obtain one with our support.
