Here is an opportunity to join JBS Australia’s most northern operation, the Townsville Plant, as an experienced Night Wash Cleaner. Located just 12km south of Townsville, our facility processes up to 900 head of cattle per day and employs approximately 500 team members. We are currently seeking reliable individuals for the Afternoon Shift team to carry out post and pre-production cleaning across the facility. This role involves using open plant cleaning systems, hoses, hot water, and chemicals to sanitise the facility for food processing. If you have previous cleaning experience in a food processing environment, can work safely around hazardous chemicals and hot water, and are comfortable in hot, wet, and dirty conditions, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing
- You will effectively deliver a clean area each shift, both visually and microbiologically.
- You will take responsibility for your own personal protective clothing, uniforms, and equipment issued by the company.
- You will comply with all site safety and personal hygiene standards.
- You will follow correct chemical procedures including applications, quantities, and handling.
- You will identify and report any damage, safety, or equipment issues before and during hygiene activities.
- You will carry out work with integrity and professionalism, ensuring outputs meet required standards.
- You will comply with all training and procedures.
- You will participate in all mandatory training relating to health and safety, hygiene, and environmental issues.
- You will responsibly manage waste or chemical spills in a way that does not breach environmental policies.
- You will report all injuries in a timely manner.

- Previous experience with cleaning and hygiene in a food processing environment is advantageous.
- You can work to deadlines and time constraints.
- You can work independently as well as part of a team.
- You have good communication skills.
- You can work safely around hazardous chemicals and hot water.
- You are comfortable working in hot, wet, and dirty environments.
