Your Key Responsibilities
Your work will ensure our facility remains a spotless, safe, and comfortable home for our residents. Your duties will focus on:
- Thoroughly cleaning and sanitising both resident rooms and all communal areas, such as lounges, dining rooms, and hallways.
- Following strict infection control protocols and utilising appropriate cleaning methods to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Restocking essential supplies like paper products, personal protective equipment (PPE), and personal hygiene items for residents and staff.
- Completing daily cleaning checklists accurately and signing off on all tasks to ensure nothing is missed.
- Interacting with residents and staff in a friendly, respectful manner, contributing to the positive atmosphere of our home.
What You Bring to the Role
We are looking for someone with the right attitude and heart for this important work. The ideal candidate will have:
- A warm, friendly personality with excellent people skills and a consistently positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and great organisational skills to manage cleaning tasks effectively.
- Flexible availability for casual shifts, as and when required, to cover various needs within the facility.
- A genuine respect for the elderly and a commitment to considering their wellbeing in your daily tasks.
Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare or aged care setting is an advantage, but more importantly, we value reliability, a caring nature, and a willingness to learn. Please note, applicants must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand, as we are unable to support visa applications for this casual role.
