Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and cost plans using Rawlinsons’ in-house rates database
- Support senior Quantity Surveyors with project cost control, reporting, and financial tracking
- Undertake measurement and take-offs under guidance using industry-standard tools
- Contribute to value engineering, design reviews, and cost option analysis
- Support contract administration activities including variations, progress claims, and final accounts
- Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Actively participate in structured training, mentoring, and professional development programs
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field, completed or nearing completion for graduates
- 0–4 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, estimating, or related construction roles
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with estimating and take-off software (e.g., RIB CostX) is advantageous but not essential
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and a current driver’s licence
