Painter – OIN Facilities Required In New York, United States

We’re looking for Painters at various experience levels to join our Facilities team, working across our diverse properties including the award-winning Turning Stone Resort Casino, golf courses, and other venues. Day shifts are available from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

For Painter – Level I:

  • Use basic painting equipment including brushes, rollers, and spray equipment with confidence.
  • Demonstrate proper taping and finishing techniques for quality drywall installation.
  • Assist with cosmetic repairs and installations of wallpaper and paint.
  • Keep an accurate daily log of routine duties and work order requests.
  • Prioritize tasks throughout the day to make the most of your time.
  • Follow safety procedures when operating power tools.
  • Read blueprints accurately to understand project requirements.
  • Lend a hand in other areas of the Facilities Department when needed.

For Painter – Level II:

  • Apply advanced painting finish techniques including marblux, faux, sponge, antiquing, Scuff Master, and feather painting.
  • Work efficiently with all types of painting tools—brushes, rollers, pads, and spray equipment.
  • Take responsibility for preparing damaged surfaces and making quality repairs in a timely manner.
  • Mentor and guide Level I Painters as they develop their skills.
  • Assist with ordering supplies from the onsite warehouse for upcoming jobs.

For Painter – Level III:

  • Master all painting techniques and applications, serving as the go-to expert on the team.
  • Help estimate the man-hours and materials needed for aesthetic work order repairs.
  • Assist in scheduling, coordinating, and managing repair projects.
  • Support the Construction Site Manager with ordering supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Mentor Level I and Level II painters, sharing your knowledge and experience.
  • Provide input on coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

For All Painter Levels:

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (experience may substitute).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to remain diplomatic and objective.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a multitask environment.
  • Basic computer skills for logging work and communicating with the team.
  • Physically able to stand or walk for long periods and lift up to 80 pounds.

Career Tier Progression:

Level I:

  • 0-2 years related experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency plus Tech Math I Course Completion

Level II:

  • 2-5 years related experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency

Level III:

  • 5-10 years related experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • Completion of 10 hours of seminar or continuing education in a related field
