Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and diggers to complete trenching and backfilling for underground utilities
- Drive tipper trucks and transport materials safely between job sites
- Assist with cable laying for electrical distribution networks
- Support power pole installation and removal across infrastructure projects
- Carry out streetlight installation and removal according to project plans
- Assist site crews with general labouring tasks when required
- Follow strict health and safety procedures while working with heavy machinery and excavation equipment
Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 driver license required and Class 4 license considered an advantage
- Previous experience operating excavators or diggers preferred but not essential
- Understanding of safe trenching and excavation practices within civil construction environments
- Ability to perform heavy physical work outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support multiple site activities
