Key Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops according to the seasonal schedule and weather conditions, using automated irrigation systems.
- Harvest crops at peak readiness, ensuring maximum quality and market value.
- Apply the technique of hoeing between the rows to control weeds and maintain crop health.
- Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts to promote healthy plant growth and maximize yield.
- Work outdoors in varying conditions including dust, heat, odours, wet and damp environments, and at heights.
- Perform physically demanding tasks including standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling throughout the day.
- Handle heavy loads as part of regular harvesting and processing activities.
- Maintain attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks, ensuring consistency in quality.

Qualifications

The work environment includes chicken farming, outdoors, at heights, dusty, hot, noisy, odours, wet/damp conditions, and tobacco crops. You need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment under pressure, with tight deadlines, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and handling heavy loads. The role requires combinations of sitting, standing, walking, hand-eye coordination, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Personal suitability includes being organized, a team player, and flexible. You must have your own transportation to get to the job location.
