A leading Civil Contractor in Taupo is seeking an experienced Telehandler & Forklift Driver for an immediate start. This is a full-time position offering 50 hours per week 55 hours for those ready to put in the extra effort—with top rates, 8% annual leave, KiwiSaver, and weekly pay. You will be supporting mechanical pipefitters and structural welders, assisting with material deliveries, transporting heavy equipment and plant, and performing general labouring duties when required. This role is perfect for a hardworking, reliable individual with a minimum of 2 years experience, a current Forklift License with WTR endorsement, and confidence in rigging and lifting objects safely. If you have a positive attitude, a willingness to get stuck in, and a good understanding of site safety protocols, this could be your next long-term role. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Telehandler and Forklift safely and efficiently on site, moving materials and equipment as required.
  • Support mechanical pipefitters and structural welders by providing materials, positioning equipment, and assisting with tasks as needed.
  • Assist with material deliveries, ensuring incoming stock is unloaded, checked, and stored correctly.
  • Transport Heavy Equipment and Plant around the site, following all safety protocols.
  • Perform general labouring duties when required, contributing to the smooth operation of the project.
  • Follow all site safety procedures and protocols, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-start checks on equipment and report any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each shift.
  • Demonstrate reliability and punctuality, arriving ready to work each day.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience operating Telehandler and Forklift in a civil or construction environment.
  • Must hold a current Forklift License with WTR endorsement.
  • Confident performing a range of physical tasks, including rigging and lifting objects safely.
  • Good understanding of site safety and protocols, with a commitment to following procedures.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and punctual we need someone who shows up ready to work.
