Oxworks is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our Manufacturing Team in Crestmead. This is a full-time position with 38 hours per week, plus overtime when it’s available. The Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll be a key person in our manufacturing process. Your primary focus will be:
- Welding and fabricating products: You’ll actively participate in day-to-day activities, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. Every product needs to be produced within approved tolerances.
- Reading detailed drawings: You’ll interpret drawings generated in AutoCAD, TEKLA, and Excel, and produce high-quality finished products according to each work order.
- Meeting delivery targets: We aim for 100% DIFOT (Delivered In Full, On Time) every day, while minimizing errors and reworks.
- Maintaining equipment: You’ll complete daily maintenance and cleaning of machinery to keep operations running smoothly.
- Improving efficiency: You’ll help reduce operating costs by following standard operating procedures and looking for ways to do things better.
- Promoting teamwork: You’ll work collaboratively within the Manufacturing departments to make sure everyone’s working toward the same goal—exceeding customer expectations.
- Staying safe: Safety compliance is non-negotiable, every single day.
- Fostering a positive environment: You’ll help promote a harmonious, can-do approach to servicing our customers.
What You’ll Need
- Trade Certificate preferred but not essential if you’ve got the experience, we want to hear from you.
- Ability to read and understand complex drawings this is a key part of the role.
- Experience operating and maintaining welding machinery you know your way around the equipment.
- Current Driver’s License to get yourself to and from work.
- Current Forklift License is a bonus if you’ve got it, let us know.
- Current First Aid Certificate is also a bonus.
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment within manufacturing.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with the team and follow instructions.
