The Opportunity
We’re looking for experienced Aluminum TIG Welders to join our team. Ideally, you’ll have experience welding heat exchangers, radiators, intercoolers, oil coolers, and other complex components of an aerospace or motorsport nature. This position would suit a specialised, precision aluminum welder who takes pride in their work.
What you’ll be doing:
- Welding, fabricating, and assembling PWR products to exacting standards.
- Preparing various cores and assemblies for dispatch.
- Inspecting products and materials to ensure they meet operational standards.
- Working autonomously and as part of a team and at times mentoring apprentices who are learning the trade.
- Operating lifting equipment incidental to your work.
- Troubleshooting problematic jobs and finding solutions.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy workplace at all times.
Your Skills and Experience
- Significant experience welding 1.2mm to 3mm aluminum.
- Ability to weld fine grade aluminum with precision and consistency.
- Able to read and interpret detailed 2D drawings accurately.
- Good understanding of jig and fixture utilisation for accuracy highly regarded.
- Able to meet tight timeframes with accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to remain calm and focused in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience welding heat exchangers for motorsport or aerospace industries highly regarded.
- Quality and pride in workmanship you care about the finished product.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and tidy workplace every day.
- A competitive hourly rate of $15.00.
- Confidence in making decisions and working autonomously when needed.
