Key Responsibilities
You will be essential to the technical execution of our productions, with key duties including:
- Proficiently operating lighting consoles and moving head lights to achieve desired visual effects.
- Setting up, rigging, and managing all lighting equipment and power distribution for both studio and outside broadcast (OB) productions.
- Collaborating closely with producers, directors, cameramen, and CCU operators to design and implement creative lighting plans that meet production needs.
- Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on lighting fixtures, power supplies, and associated accessories.
- Working effectively under pressure to meet tight production deadlines across various shifts.
- Being available for work that includes overnight shifts, weekends, public holidays, and during emergency situations (e.g., typhoons).
Qualifications
To be successful in this technical role, you will need:
- A Diploma or higher in Radio, Television, Film, Digital Media, or Technical Arts from a recognised Hong Kong institution (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in lighting operations within a television studio or theatre environment.
- Alternatively, at least 4 years of proven relevant experience for candidates without the specified formal qualifications.
- Working-level spoken Cantonese and English, with the ability to read and understand production scripts in both languages. Fluency in Cantonese is essential for effective communication with production teams and on-air talent.
