Need Maintenance Labourer In New Zealand

Here is your chance to join New Zealand’s leading resource recovery, recycling, and waste management provider. WM New Zealand is looking for a practical, hands-on team player to join our dedicated maintenance team at Redvale Landfill in Dairy Flat. This is a varied role where you’ll help keep the site safe, tidy, and running smoothly and no two days look the same. What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll support the upkeep of the site through a mix of general maintenance and manual tasks, including:

  • Keeping the grounds and site presentation in great shape.
  • Physical work such as moving materials, cleaning, tidying, digging, and general labouring.
  • Driving and operating Class 1 vehicles on-road and around the site.
  • Following daily instructions and completing tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Jumping in to support the wider site as needed.

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll be someone who takes pride in a job well done and enjoys working as part of a team. You’ll need to have:

  • A full, clean Class 1 driver’s licence (required).
  • Good physical fitness and confidence doing manual work outdoors.
  • A strong safety mindset and reliable, punctual work habits.
  • Experience using power tools (or the willingness to learn).
  • A positive attitude, great communication, and a “see it, sort it” approach.

What We Offer

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (weekends free).
  • Permanent, full-time role with stable work in an essential service.
