Key Responsibilities
As a trainee, you will be integral to our daily operations, gaining invaluable experience. Your duties will be tailored to your assigned department:
For Aquarium-Summit
- Assist with the daily husbandry, feeding, and care of a diverse collection including freshwater fish, reptiles, birds, land mammals, sharks, and sea jellies.
- Participate in exhibit maintenance, cleaning, and environmental enrichment to ensure animal welfare.
- Support conservation and research initiatives as directed by supervisors.
For Marine Mammal:
- Assist trainers with the daily care, feeding, and health monitoring of marine mammals.
- Learn basic training techniques to support husbandry, show, and educational behaviors.
- Help maintain show facilities, ensure hygiene standards, and participate in habitat maintenance.
- Support assigned conservation and research projects.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are:
- A holder of a Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) or above.
- Proficient in Chinese and Putonghua, with basic English skills.
- A competent swimmer (qualified diver certification is a strong advantage).
- Willing and able to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Possessed of a genuine passion for animal welfare, a strong work ethic, and a team-oriented attitude.
