 UPS is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Auto Technician to join our team at our Lachine, Québec facility. In this permanent, unionized night shift role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our diverse fleet of diesel, propane, CNG, and gasoline vehicles. Key Responsibilities

As a vital part of our maintenance operations, you will ensure our fleet remains safe and reliable. Your core duties will include:

  • Performing thorough inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on the UPS vehicle fleet.
  • Working on a variety of vehicles, including those powered by diesel, propane, compressed natural gas (CNG), and gasoline.
  • Operating and testing vehicles safely within our facility grounds and on public roads as required.
  • Utilizing your troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
  • Wearing the provided UPS Auto Mechanic uniform and complying with all company appearance guidelines.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified professional who meets these essential criteria:

  • Must possess a valid PEP card (Provincial Qualification Certificate) for heavy-duty or light-duty mechanics.
  • A clean driver’s abstract meeting strict UPS standards (details in job description).
  • Must own and provide your own essential trade tools and equipment.
  • The physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability and willingness to work the night shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM).
  • Strong organizational and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment road test.
