Key Responsibilities
In this vital role, you will be responsible for conducting precise tests that ensure construction materials meet strict standards. Your key duties will include:
- Performing both field and in-house physical and mechanical testing of construction materials, primarily concrete.
- Carrying out regular checks and basic maintenance on testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Following detailed procedures to ensure all testing activities comply with NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) requirements.
- Maintaining meticulous records and reporting test results accurately.
- Assisting the wider technical team with laboratory operations and projects.
- Upholding the highest standards of health and safety in every task, both in the lab and on-site.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the right attitude and foundation. You will need:
- Essential Attributes: An impeccable eye for detail, a professional work ethic, and excellent health and safety behaviours.
- Must be physically fit for manual handling and have strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- A current driver’s licence and the ability to work weekends and regular overtime as required.
- The ability to take ownership of tasks, manage your own responsibilities with minimal supervision, and maintain a strong customer and quality focus.
- Must have full Australian work rights.
- A Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques is an advantage but not required.
