As part of the 100% New Zealand-owned Talley’s Group, SPM is a leading exporter of premium lamb products. In this role, you will be a key member of the Plant Maintenance team, responsible for the thorough pre- and post-operation cleaning that is fundamental to our food safety and plant efficiency. Your diligence directly supports our global reputation for quality.
Key Responsibilities
You will work as part of a dedicated team to maintain our plant’s stringent hygiene standards.
- Perform comprehensive cleaning processes across the plant before and after production operations.
- Handle and use approved cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, utilizing all supplied Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Clean all assigned areas of the plant thoroughly, which may include production floors, equipment, and facilities.
- Follow specific cleaning protocols and instructions to meet all regulatory and company compliance standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures.
What You’ll Bring

- Ability and willingness to work night shifts, with flexibility for afternoon/evening shifts as required.
- Excellent time management and the ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised.
- Advantageous: Commercial or industrial cleaning experience. Experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment is highly regarded.

Salary
A competitive hourly wage, with a base pay range of $38,000 – $60,000 per year (pro-rated for part-time hours).
