Key Responsibilities
- Set up and support audiovisual equipment for all hotel functions and events, ensuring that every presentation, conference, and celebration is executed flawlessly.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all audiovisual equipment to guarantee reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently, minimizing disruption to events and maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the events and banqueting teams to understand specific requirements and provide tailored AV solutions.
- Maintain an organized inventory of equipment, cables, and accessories, ensuring that all items are stored properly and ready for use.
- Stay current with emerging AV technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements to enhance the guest experience.
- Assist with the setup and operation of audiovisual systems for meetings, conferences, weddings, and other special occasions.
- Ensure all equipment is installed safely and in compliance with hotel standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications
A secondary education level or HKDSE graduate is required. Candidates should have two to five years of relevant experience in a similar position, ideally within a hotel or event venue. Strong technical knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including sound systems, projectors, lighting, and video conferencing tools, is essential. Maturity, independence, and a service oriented mindset are key. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to supervise and coordinate with other team members when required. A problem solving attitude and attention to detail are highly valued.
