Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a crew of electricians on mining construction projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Guide, motivate, and support team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate crew activities, ensuring tasks are allocated effectively and project timelines are met.
  • Maintain exceptional communication with team members, supervisors, and other trades to ensure seamless coordination across the project.

  • Conduct pre start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to reinforce safe work practices.

  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any incidents or near misses.
  • Uphold a strong safety culture, ensuring all team members adhere to site safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

Proven leading hand experience in mining construction and heavy industrial environments is required. Candidates must possess strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide, motivate, and support a crew effectively. Exceptional communication and crew coordination skills are essential. Electricians must hold a current WA Electrical Licence or be willing to obtain one. A valid White Card is required. Current First Aid certification including Low Voltage Rescue and CPR is required. A High Risk Work Licence for working at heights is required. Candidates must be able to pass a pre employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. A National Police Clearance or the ability to apply for one is required.
